The things that I've learned in both EN001 and RD095 are plentiful, whether its the skills from both classes or just the cool stuff we did. In EN001, my essay writing has dramatically improved from revising essays as much as 10 times to prepare for the portfolio. RD095 was a much tougher class for me because my reading comprehension was awful and that my note taking wasn't the best (it's good but could be alot better). It still is tough for me because finding the main idea in long readings took forever. A good example of this was when we got the Omnivore's Dillemma reading. It took me a whole day of my weekend to read 5 pages just cause I couldn't find the main idea for those few paragraphs. Annotating is still a struggle because when I read a reading, I'm not sure what to take note of and find the main idea given in the reading. However, I'm able to imply the main idea of a reading. Odd isn't it. In EN001, the toughest essay that I did was the Minister of Culture. I had to come up with ideas at first, but when I chose the essay to revise it a few times, it became more difficult coming up with extra details. Eventually I succeeded in giving enough detail for it. I'm actually nervous about the reading final because I have no idea how I'm going to do on it since I still struggle with annotating and finding the main idea to answer questions. The videos were cool to watch, especially the Spenser for Hire clips regarding to Double Deuce. It showed alot of action and I felt like I was a part of the clips. Overall, the classes were cool and I learned alot from them.
